Scholarship in the Faculty of Arts, University of Plymouth for practice-led postgraduate research (MPhil/PhD) specialising in Three Dimensional Design. The Scholarship will commence on 1 October 2007. They welcome those from well-qualified applicants that relate to the following areas of our expertise:

The Ohio University Southern Scholarship and Open Horse Show is scheduled Sept. 23 at the Ohio Horse Park in Franklin Furnace. Admission is $5 for adults.

Scholarship vouchers will be awarded as part of the scholarship show that starts 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. The open show is set to begin at 5 p.m. that day.

The Intelligent Well systems Technology group is looking for a PhD student to work in the area of modelling and evaluation of advanced downhole hardware used in hydrocarbon production. The studentship is available to UK/EU/Overseas candidates, including Indonesia. It includes fees and an appropriate stipend. The Institute is committed to equality of opportunity.

The successful candidate will be involved in development of software tools for optimising the operation of downhole equipment. This will be done through assessing efficiency of various optimization algorithms with respect to problem of optimal settings for interval control valves and fine tuning of the best algorithms.
