Australian Development Scholarship (ADS)

Program Pemerintah Australia melalui Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) menyelenggarakan Beasiswa studi Pascasarjana (S2 & S3) sebanyak 300 beasiswa per tahun (untuk negara Indonesia).
Biaya studi dan biaya hidup ditanggung penuh, termasuk return ticket
2/3 untuk pegawai negeri, 1/3 untuk swasta
Minimum 30% untuk kawasan Timur Indonesia: Jawa Timur, Sulawesi Selatan, Sulawesi Tenggara, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Papua, Maluku dan Maluku Utara
50% untuk pria, 50% untuk wanita ; 90% untuk level Master dan 10% untuk level PhD

Persyaratan aplikasi beasiswa Australian Development Scholarship (ADS):
Minimum IPK 2,9
Standar kemampuan Bahasa Inggris hasil IELTS minimal 5,0 (atau TOEFL Institusional >500 / TOEFL Internasional >170), dimana hasil tes berlaku tidak lebih dari 12 bulan sebelum aplikasi.

    Hallo, saya Dyah. Saya Dosen Fak. Hukum Univ. Pattimura Ambon-Maluku, namun sebelumnya saya selama 3 tahun bekerja pada salah satu LSM Internasional yang ada di Maluku untuk program rehabilitasi & recovery paska konflik Maluku 1999 lalu. Beberapa hal yang ingin saya tanyakan:
    1. Bisakan saya dikirimkan informasi yang lebih lengkap tentang beasiswa ADS ini?
    2. Saat ini saya baru saja memulai S2 pada di Univ. Hassanuddin Makassar. Bolehkah saya tetap melamar pada ADS untuk study ke Australia?

    Melalui surat ini, saya mengharap kiranya ada institusi/instansi yang berkenan memberikan saya kesempatan gratis untuk melanjutkan jenjang S2 di dalam maupun luar negeri dengan target program studi Linguistics.

    Keinginan ini sudah lama saya pendam di dalam benak dan hati saya, namun saya merasa barangkali itu hanya sekadar impian dan angan-angan yang mustahil dapat saya capai. Mengapa demikian? karena saya terganjal oleh ekonomi, demikian juga orang tua saya di kampung juga mengalami hal yang sama, yakni terjepit oleh ekonomi.

    Bayangkan saja, ketika saya ingin melanjutkan studi S1 ke Kota Medan, orang tua saya terpaksa harus menjual sawah agar niat saya untuk kuliah dapat mereka penuhi. Dalam menjalani perkuliahan, untuk meringankan beban orang tua, saya pun mesti tinggal di mesjid selama hampir 2 tahun. Di samping itu, saya juga mencari tambahan dengan mengajar mengaji Al-Qur’an dan private les anak-anak. Selain itu, saya juga di waktu libur sering mengisi kegiatan demi menambah biaya hidup di perantauan, saya harus bekerja sebagai seorang kenek bangunan, penjual telur. Namun terakhir ketika saya duduk di akhir semester jaringan saya bertambah karena saya mulai aktif mengikuti sejumlah organisasi, dari situ pengalaman dan relasi saya bertambah. Lantas, kehidupan ekonomi saya sedikit terbantu, karena saya sudah mulai bekerja dengan lebih baik. Kala itu saya bekerja sebagai wartawan di sebuah majalah Muhammadiyah, namanya Gema Tajdid: dari sana karir jurnalistik saya menanjak menjadi wartawan di sebuah media harian terkenal di Sumatera Utara, namanya Medan Bisnis.

    Di samping memenuhi kebutuhan pribadi dengan penghasilan yang pas-pasan, sejak awal kuliah saya juga harus ikut membantu biaya pendidikan 2 orang adik saya dan itu berlangsung hingga saat ini.

    Waktupun berlalu, saya pun akhirnya berhasil menamatkan kuliah saya. Saya sangat bersyukur kepada Allah swt, karena tanpa-Nya saya mustahil bisa mendapatkan itu semua.

    Keadaan sulit seperti ini sudah lama saya alami, dimulai sejak saya duduk sebagai santri di sebuah Pesantren. Namun demikian, saya berpandangan kesedihan dan kesusahan bukanlah suatu hal yang perlu dikeluhkan, karena hal itu merupakan cobaan, tantangan, liku-liku dan variasi hidup yang harus dijalani setiap manusia. karena, banyak fenomena terjadi yang berawal dari kesusahan berakhir dengan kesenangan. Dan tidak sedikit pula fenomena yang berawal dari kesenangan, ternyata di masa depannya berakhir dengan kesusahan.

    Akhirul kalam, sekali lagi saya bermohon kepada Bapak/Ibu pengelola dana beasiswa untuk dapat kiranya mempertimbangkan permohonan saya ini. Atas Perhatiannya, sebelumnya saya ucapkan terima kasih. Wassalam

    ADS info you gave attracted me much. What I found is that Australian show its sincere heart in helping us by giving a full living allowance to selected applicants.
    My hope, Indonesia will be better with this program.
    I don’t know whether I can be qualified to be a candidate. I never heard any TOEFL test held in Sentani, Papua. Beside, I am not a PNS nor NGO worker. Anyway, my comment to those who get ADS, it’s your duty to fulfill my dream of Indonesian future.

    i am Maikel, i am a teacher. i faced number problems about education in Indonesia. i am confused to apply better skill to teach students more specific in Papua. I have been teaching started from 2003 till now but I feel not accomplished yet. i am really love to go somewhere to observe or learn something different nor like in Indonesia.

    I am Sisitha Ramachandra from Sri Lanka. I am at the age of 27 and completed BSc. degree in Agriculture Technology & Management in September of 2010 with second class lower division (Final GPA – 3.15) from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. My specialization area was Animal science and technology. I did my research project related to “Metabolic profile testing and Negative energy balance of high producing dairy cattles” in a leading dairy farm in Sri Lanka. I published the research paper in the proceedings of the twentieth annual students research sessions Department of Animal Science. I am interested to pursue MSc studies related to Animal science and technology or Animal Physiology through scollership. Because I havent lot of capital to those studies from my own fund.
