Samsung Electronics is offering a scholarship to final year students in Business Administration and Art & Social Science and have outstanding academic results (top 10%). Willing to work in the Marketing / Export Division of Samsung Electronics in Korea is one of Selection Criteria.
General Information
1. 100% subsidy of registration / tuition fees
2. Monthly living allowances
3. Hostel accommodation and student group medical insurance provided
4. 2 free return air tickets to Seoul
5. Scholars will have to reimburse all monthly living allowances if they are unable to complete the course or evaluated during the marketing training program and internship to be unfit to work in Samsung
6. Outstanding academic results (top 10%)
7. Willing to work in the Marketing / Export Division of Samsung Electronics in Korea
8. Scholar will have to sign a two years contract to work in Samsung Electronics in Korea upon completion of the Master Program.

I’m on the 3rd level of accounting major, faculty of economics, Trisakti University. While I’m studying at Trisakti, I also study at Edith Cowan University, Perth Western Australia as an international Bachelor Business and Administration Honors student, majoring International business, on the 3rd level as well. I have a good knowledge about theory of marketing and experience of marketing. I am get my experience of marketing because I work at below the line (BTL) agency at Malang as an Area Coordinator for Malang Area. And until now I have a good relationship between our client, such as PT. HM. Sampoerna Tbk, PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk, PT. Telkomsel, PT. Exelcomindo Pratama, and still many more our client that trusting their BTL job to us. I work in BTL agency start when I am on 4th semesters of my collage. From the BTL I learn how I have to work in team or individual, I learn how to work under preasure and so on. I got a lot of experiences when I work in this world.
By joining this program hopefully I can increase my capability in marketing especially for my dreams, that is I work at some companies that have high self development and it can give me knowledge about marketing by training or development program or even by giving master degree in other countries. I will be so gladfull when this company especially through this program can help my dreams come true.
If I am accepted joining this program I will study how to make a better marketing by planning some marketing program that have important point that is efficientcies an effectiveness beside consumer satisfied and high profit to the company itself. Those point are very important in the modern marketing world.

I have been working at shipping line company for almost 8 years and due to the program from Samsung seems connecting to my current job, I will try to persue this program to get scholarship. Melalui surat ini, saya mengharap kiranya ada institusi/instansi yang berkenan memberikan saya kesempatan gratis untuk melanjutkan jenjang S2 di luar negeri dengan target program studi Linguistics.
Keinginan ini sudah lama saya pendam di dalam benak dan hati saya, namun saya merasa barangkali itu hanya sekadar impian dan angan-angan yang mustahil dapat saya capai. Mengapa demikian? karena saya terganjal oleh ekonomi, demikian juga orang tua saya di kampung juga mengalami hal yang sama, yakni terjepit oleh ekonomi.
Bayangkan saja, ketika saya ingin melanjutkan studi S1 ke Kota Medan, orang tua saya terpaksa harus menjual sawah agar niat saya untuk kuliah dapat mereka penuhi. Dalam menjalani perkuliahan, untuk meringankan beban orang tua, saya pun mesti tinggal di mesjid selama hampir 2 tahun. Di samping itu, saya juga mencari tambahan dengan mengajar mengaji Al-Qur’an dan private les anak-anak. Selain itu, saya juga di waktu libur sering mengisi kegiatan demi menambah biaya hidup di perantauan, saya harus bekerja sebagai seorang kenek bangunan, penjual telur. Namun terakhir ketika saya duduk di akhir semester jaringan saya bertambah karena saya mulai aktif mengikuti sejumlah organisasi, dari situ pengalaman dan relasi saya bertambah. Lantas, kehidupan ekonomi saya sedikit terbantu, karena saya sudah mulai bekerja dengan lebih baik. Kala itu saya bekerja sebagai wartawan di sebuah majalah Muhammadiyah, namanya Gema Tajdid: dari sana karir jurnalistik saya menanjak menjadi wartawan di sebuah media harian terkenal di Sumatera Utara, namanya Medan Bisnis.
Di samping memenuhi kebutuhan pribadi dengan penghasilan yang pas-pasan, sejak awal kuliah saya juga harus ikut membantu biaya pendidikan 2 orang adik saya dan itu berlangsung hingga saat ini.
Waktupun berlalu, saya pun akhirnya berhasil menamatkan kuliah saya. Saya sangat bersyukur kepada Allah swt, karena tanpa-Nya saya mustahil bisa mendapatkan itu semua.
Keadaan sulit seperti ini sudah lama saya alami, dimulai sejak saya duduk sebagai santri di sebuah Pesantren. Namun demikian, saya berpandangan kesedihan dan kesusahan bukanlah suatu hal yang perlu dikeluhkan, karena hal itu merupakan cobaan, tantangan, liku-liku dan variasi hidup yang harus dijalani setiap manusia. karena, banyak fenomena terjadi yang berawal dari kesusahan berakhir dengan kesenangan. Dan tidak sedikit pula fenomena yang berawal dari kesenangan, ternyata di masa depannya berakhir dengan kesusahan.
Akhirul kalam, sekali lagi saya bermohon kepada Bapak/Ibu pengelola dana beasiswa untuk dapat kiranya mempertimbangkan permohonan saya ini. Wassalam
