Selection criteria for ADB – Japan Scholarship:
- Applicants with less than two years of work experience will not be selected.
- Preference to women candidates.
- Preference to applicants with lesser financial capacity.
- The Program will, in principle, not support applicants who have previously studied abroad.
- The Program will, in principle, not support applicants who are pursuing a second master’s degree or a second doctorate degree.
- Candidates who are applying in a participating academic institution in their own country may not be selected.
- Diversification of nationality in the overall Program as well as at each participating academic institution will be considered.

The scholarship period is one year. An appropriate extension for the second or third year of study is conditional on the scholar’s maintaining a satisfactory level of performance determined by the University of Sydney and following approval by the ADB. Competition for an ADB-JSP scholarship is extremely strong. Only candidates who receive an unconditional offer of admission will be considered for the ADB-JSP scholarship.

This open competition is for applicants who serve or plan to serve as faculty members of state or private institutions of higher education in Indonesia.

•A determination to take up academic positions in higher education upon their return

Fulbright Doctoral Dissertation Research Program
This research grant is intended to provide U.S. research opportunities to Indonesian university doctoral candidates who are in the final stages of writing their dissertation. Part of the research should be conducted in the home country and part in Groningen.
The criteria for approval cover the following topics:
1. Academic excellence. This is shown by the academic performance of the students and may be confirmed by letters of recommendation from university professors.

3. The perspectives of contribution to a long-term linkage between the university in the developing country and the University of Groningen.

Eligible candidates for scholarship grant:
-have a good knowledge of the English language.
-be in good health, so that health insurance in the Netherlands can be
arranged.
-be available for the whole period of the fellowship and be able to take part in the entire study programme.
-have no other means of financing the study.
-Their education should strengthen the academic capacity.
- the applicant should be employed by a research institute or university in a developing country
- the application should also be supported by this organisation.
- the University of Groningen must be able to provide an academic supervisor who will be responsible for the scientific supervision of the research.

In principle, applications for research grants may only be submitted by individuals from developing countries if endorsed by a professor of the University of Groningen and with the support of their home institution / partner university. Dalam rangka peningkatan mutu dosen, Direktorat Ketenagaan Ditjen Pendidikan Tinggi membuka pendaftaran beasiswa S2 dan S3 luar negeri untuk tahun 2009, bagi dosen tetap PTN, dosen DPK dan dosen tetap PTS di lingkungan Departemen Pendidikan Nasional. Beasiswa untuk program S2 selama 2 tahun, dan program S3 selama 3 tahun.

Pendaftaran dan seleksi dilakukan dalam 3 tahap:
- Tahap I: pendaftaran ditutup tanggal 28 November 2008, dan seleksi direncanakan pada bulan Desember 2008;

* Applicants submit both the application for East-West Center Graduate Fellowship and the graduate admissions application to the University of Hawai‘i to the East-West Center Award Services Office. Applications must be postmarked by the November 1 deadline.
* Applicants already enrolled as classified graduate students at the University of Hawai‘i submit only the East-West Center Graduate Fellowship application.

The Blyth Cambridge Funding Scholarship Program selection process
All applicants will receive notification of their application in Cambridge Blyth Scholarship program, or before 15 October. Short listed candidates will be invited to the regional interview to be held in late October. The successful candidate (s) will be invited to participate in a national interview in early November. Scholarship (s) will be awarded after the interview. The scientist (s) will begin their studies in Cambridge since October. The decision Blyth Cambridge Scholarships Selection Committee will be final and without appeal.

Eligibility
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident (landed immigrant).
- Full time student in their graduating year at an accredited Canadian secondary school or in their first year of university.
